Phase One of Nursery Room Now Complete May 29th, 2006

Ashley and I spent several long portions of our Memorial Day weekend getting our house ready for the arrival of Schmoopie Beta. After several discussions of where to place the nursery, we have decided on our front bedroom, also known as our guest bedroom. This has immediate impact on New Granddad’s and Grandma’s to be. If our guest room becomes baby room – where do they go when they come to rescue New Dad and New Mom?
Good bye office. We have transformed our former home office to become a third bedroom downstairs. The home office has now been downsized to the back corner in our media room. [ Media room detail here. :-) ]
Now visiting friends and family needing a overnight stay can comfortably stay at our home. We will go ahead and go on record as the new parents who WILL want family visits early – the more to share baby duty the merrier.Â
For phase one to be complete, the selection, the purchase, the delivery and assembly of the crib must all be checked complete. Ashley received a great reward after launching another successful project at the office – a $500 Pottery Barn Kids certificate. We had already had a crib of theirs on our short list – so it made things pretty easy for us. We (I just agreed) decided to go with the Pottery Barn Kids Sleigh Crib in espresso.Â
Thanks to Jeni for lending me her F150 for the weekend! I was able to pick up the crib Saturday and the picture above shows proof we end this Memorial Day weekend with phase 1 complete.Â
